Competitive Edge is a service company that develops and uses technology to help credit unions measure satisfaction levels among members and employees. Our goal is to help you empower employees to strive for continuous self improvement.
Competitive Edge now provides its unique employee improvement services to more than 175 credit unions throughout the country.
The Quality Loop program is what started it all. The product of a graduate studies program in customer satisfaction, “Quality Loop” was initiated (in 1992) as part of in-house training within a very dynamic west coast credit union (one of the first in the country to initiate share draft services). From the very start— it worked! It worked so well, in fact, it wasn’t long before other credit unions sought it out. At that point a company was born!
Steve Straub: CEO
Steve knows credit unions from the inside. For more than two decades he ran one of the largest credit unions in the Pacific Northwest. It was, in fact, one of the first twelve credit unions in the U.S. to put the national share draft program to a real-world test. It was also one of the first ever to be granted a community charter. NCUA hired him to provide turn-around management for several troubled credit unions. But it was a post-graduate study of employee motivation that led him to develop a unique and very efficient system for monitoring the member contact performance. With that— Quality Loop was born!
